  • help you develop a career plan
  • provide access to printed and electronic information and internet based resources
  • access to free resume writing software
  • provide information on how to access employment and training services in your region
  • help; you to explore alternative employment paths, such as self employment

What services and resources are available?

 

EDN | Midwest can help you with career exploration, employment information, work experience insurance cover, internet access through 'My Guide' and job search support all in a friendly and supportive environment.

 

The Profit from Experience Programme can help mature age job seekers back into work with training assistance, career and job information.

You are eligible if you are:

 

  • aged 35 years and over
  • unemployed, underemployed or retrenched.

Sometimes there are a few skills you may need in order to obtain the work you want.  Through the Profit from Experience programme you may be eligible for assistance to gain these specific skills or training.

 

Parents as Career Partners

Real support for parents and caregivers through workshops to give you skills to help your children think about:

  • - how the world of work has changed
  • - where the real opportunities for your children are
  • - where to go for the right information
  • - what your child needs to do to achieve his or her career goals

The School Leaver Programme can assist with the transition from school to further education, training, employment or apprenticeships and traineeships.
